As the 2003-2004 chair of UCEA South, Warren directs the regional business operations for approximately 350 professionals and 150 institutions, representing thirteen states in the southern U.S. During the 2003 regional meeting in Montgomery, Alabama, she was presented the UCEA South's Outstanding Service to Continuing Education Award for her contributions to continuing education at NC State University.
One of the oldest college and university associations in the United States, UCEA was founded in 1912 to promote access to higher education for all students. The Association also provides national leadership in support of policies that advance workforce and professional development.
Puryear has been actively involved in NAASS activities since 1993, and served on panels and made presentations on topics ranging from getting the most out of market research to implementing proven leadership strategies.
Founded in 1964 as the National Association of College and University Summer Sessions, NAASS has evolved into the principal forum through which summer session administrators could address common challenges and speak with one voice on issues that impact summer sessions programs across North America.
The McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education serves as the gateway to NC State's intellectual and technical resources. With over 33,000 square feet of flexible and technology-rich meeting space, it is the ideal location for any organization's training sessions, educational events or virtual meetings.
